COPENHAGEN, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Danish wind-turbine manufacturer Vestas has signed a contract for delivery of 149 megawatts to a wind-energy project in Canada, the company announced Monday.
The contract entails delivery of 83 wind-turbines of the V90-1.8 MW type totalling 149 MW, the company said. It includes a 10-year service and maintenance agreement, with delivery scheduled for autumn 2012, and commissioning expected in late 2012.
The client's name, and details about the project location, were not made public.
The order is Vestas' second in Canada, and fifth in North America, in 2011.
